It has been about a month since we finished the house, making it ready for the market. My last step was mulching the yard. Most of the move was physically or emotionally stressful. But mulching the yard? That was therapeutic. I relax when it is time to mulch and it was a peaceful end to a whirlwind process.
What is next? Who knows. Maybe a job in Colorado? A new job with my current company in Colorado? Maybe hitting the road and then settling down.
We do know that we are out of our current house and moving out of our friends place. They, too, are on the move! So we are unintentional nomads, learning to embrace constant change for the 5 of us.
I feel we have broken through the status quo for life and are now working to find our path and settle into our life as an adventure; not settle back into a life of similarity.
It is a challenge and it is trying. But it is worth it to be doing something, anything, that is different and questions our ideas. For that, we’re grateful.
