I am an avid fan and supporter of the Boulder Hiker Chicks. My wife found this community of amazing women who traverse the front range behind Boulder, CO. They push themselves, go on tremendous adventures, weather not-withstanding, and encourage each other before, during, and afterwards.

On January 12, 2019, they had their 5th Annual BHC Winter Trifecta. By all accounts it was difficult, with 10-15 inch fresh snow (or pow pow?) on the trail. It sounds like it went well and that it was a powerful feat accomplished by all.

One other feat that was accomplished, that would normally not get recognition, was a post-race occurrence the following day. For someone who can. not. nap. found herself reading on the couch. And her son, who is a cuddler by nature, hooked her up with a blanket and a “stuffty” (his word for stuffed animals that you might cuddle with at night).

It was the perfect storm of cozy.

It took three mountain peaks and miles of hiking to finally cause this one to nap.

You’re amazing, ABC. I am impressed by and with you and I hope you always find and pursue that which causes you to grow!
