Thank and Grow Rich – Day 6

Close-up photo of butter melting on a cast-iron pan.
Look at it melting across the pan. Glorious.

February 6

  1. Butter

  3. Pie
A small half piece of cherry pie on a plate on a granite counter top.
Mmmmmm, pie.

Pie.

I can count on one hand the number of times we’ve had pie in the house in the last couple of years. So it was an extra special treat when my wife said there was a treat for me in the kitchen. It was soooo good.

And here’s the OTHER thing. I haven’t thought of pie in months and months. I love it, it just isn’t something I think about often. Today, at work, someone visiting the area asked “where is a good place to get pie.” My coworker proceeded to give him some options; I wasn’t part of the conversation at all. Merely a long-distance eavesdropper. But then I started thinking about pie!

And when I got home, well, you know the rest of the story.

I always believe coincidences were magic for regular people. Until lots of things I read convinced my I was being naive and childish. Now? I’d much rather believe. 🙂

PIE!
