Thank and Grow Rich – Day 11

Boats on water always tug at me. I think there is a there, there.

February 11

  1. Bass
  2. Valentine’s decorations and Mary Poppins Returns soundtrack at the kitchen table
  3. All 5 of us together

This is a decidedly family-oriented list. The bass is fundamental in anything I listen to. I even play bass because I love those low frequencies so much. Music you can feel? Music that actually vibrates your body? Yes. That’s my jam.

Back to the family list…

We make time to take the children out of the house individually with just one parent in order to nurture those connections. It really is special to have one-on-one time with people you love and enjoy. And with three siblings in the house, that solo time is rare and precious. Amanda took time this weekend and went out with both daughters.

When they came home, they had valentine’s cards and decorations for themselves and their friends. We sat around at the table, the kids with markers and stickers and felt sewing kits, Amanda helping the youngest, Mary Poppins Returns playing, and me. I sat there delighted, aware that I get to do life with amazing people. Full heart, clear eyes, and such. It is good.
