In a rare occurrence, the schedules of my wife and I lined up to where we could have lunch together today. It was great!

We’ve known each other for 18 years, now, and we’ve been a couple for the last 13 years. You could say we’ve been around each other quite a bit. As I continue to look at my life and what is around me and recognize all the gifts and beauty, my wife falls squarely in the camp of things for which I am daily grateful.

And yet, there are still moments, when we are talking about Fatiha’s Shakshuka, when I stop and actually SEE her. I look into her eyes and there is so much more in her than our daily occurrences would evoke or uncover.

After all our time together, there is still so much more to know. And learn. And support. And encourage. And I am here for this.
