You still make me giddy, snow.

February 17

  1. Relaxing while watching snow fall
  2. Kombucha
  3. That little piece of pancake batter that falls of the pourer and lands in a puddle of butter in the corner and soaks it all up into a crispy tiny baby pancake.

Our first few years in the Front Range area of Colorado had less than average snowfalls. We were fine and excited by whatever snow did fall, though. It was beautiful, as always. And then it would get to 50 or 60 degrees the following day or two and melt things away.

The high desert is a fantastic and interesting climate.

This winter seems to be wetter than normal. Not being a long-time resident, I don’t have any distant memories of how things “used to be” around here. And with climates becoming more volatile, speaking of normal seems like an odd thing. Unless it is to root us into talking about the extreme.

But today, good reader, I want to simply enjoy. We still get excited with each snowfall. Even the little ones. It’s just. so. pretty. And this year, it seems to be snowing more frequently. Which is delightful.

And sometimes, the best way to go about life is to put on some headphones, put your feet up, and just watch snow fall from the sky.

Yes.
