February 24

  1. Families supporting families
  2. Enthusiastic music teachers
  3. Children performing at a recital

You may notice a theme to this triad, and you would be correct! We were invited to a cello recital, performed by a friend of our children and another 10 year old. I’m not usually one for string recitals (something something young kids and strings out of tune) but this was exceptional.

Both children memorized their respective Suzuki book and played admirably. We were in a small room and it was packed with families, especially of the young children variety. Everyone did so well and the music was good and there was a time of snacking afterwards. Sigh. So great.

We’re fortunate to know people who care about such things and who invite us to support and encourage.
