- Persistence
- Toilet paper
- Sewer systems that can handle toilet paper
First off, the first one is not related to the last two. That would likely point to some sort of fiber deficiency. Or overall change in diet needed. The last two? Definitely related.
Some years ago (two) I was shuttled off to Mexico by my kind and endearing (enduring) wife. I met up with some friends and we had good times together. That’s the summary.
A detail: we were in a fantastic condo/AirBnB/rental situation and it was up a few floors, overlooked the ocean and a pool/lounge area (I have got to find those pictures). And there were two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom.
Each bathroom had a tiny note above the toilet paper roll. I forget the exact wording but it basically said, “whatever toilet paper you use, throw it in the trash can, not the toilet.”
Years of training, YEARS, and so much sanitary information drilled into our heads since we were little, all gone. Do what with our what? Some of us immediately balked at the idea. Others were game to give it a try. I’ll spare you any more details.
In short, yay for modern sewer systems where I live and work. Definitely grateful.
