We like to take time out of life’s daily routines to nurture connections. One parent, one child, out of the house. That time is precious.
We had a quiet day in. So part of our time was spent on finding things to do around the house. I went with an oldie and pulled out the kinetic sand.
After admiring the work of others for so long, I created my own thing. It feels good. This is a tribute to creators and to sitting down to do the work.
I had to drop something off at the post office today and, behold! In front of me was a parking lot that had not been plowed after yesterday’s snow.
I need you to know something about snow in Colorado. Yes, it does get cold. Yes it does snow. But somehow the laws of physics do not apply at high altitude.
When you are young, you believe certain things. Then life does its best to ground some of those things out of you. Well I say, “Not this time, Life!”
Sometimes you see planets and they humble you and fill you with a sense of awe. And sometimes you eat tortilla chips and feel the same way.
Rangent: when you go on a rant that is tangential to what you are actually discussing. Here comes a rangent. Still grateful. Just need to talk.
Kids, Sweaters, and Bubbles. Today’s blessings are a mix of the basics. But often you need to go out of your routine or comfort zone for the good stuff.
Ahhhh, that time of day when it is dark outside, you’ve gotten rest, and you sit quietly with no one needing anything from you. Perfect.
